Crown Jewels...Netflix Bridgerton's Most Inspiring Looks

 

Bridgeton graced our screens on Christmas day. The Netflix hit produced by Shonda Rhimes, based on the Regency-era has a multitude of magnificent jewellery. Based on a novel of the same name, the show revolves around the fictional towns elite. So, of course, the jewellery had to match the eccentricities of their clothes and lifestyle. Here are the pieces that caught our eye:

Look 1: This look transcends time. The simplicity of the piece means it can still be worn in 2021. These pieces are timeless and a staple for anyone's collection.

Look 2: This piece can only be described as gloriously eye-catching. It adds the right amount of elegance and perfectly completes the look.

Look 3: This look captures the youthfulness of the characters, from the floral choker to the colourful gems. The use of colours perfectly complements their gown.

Look 4: This look is one of the most eccentric. Her hair is adorned with many different accessories. From birdcages to rings holding her bows in place.  We can see why she is the queen.

The characters on the show adorn themselves with the most extravagant pieces to enable them to stand out. Using jewellery as a form of self-expression has always been common throughout the ages. We have seen this trend flourish with the rise of working from home and zoom calls. From simple necklaces, to statement earrings, using jewellery to showcase personality when we can no longer express our individuality in person has been vital during the pandemic.
